MEMPHIS ResortQuest reports improved fourth quarter 2000 earnings with EBITDA improving 77% and net earnings up 45%. For the 2000 fourth quarter, the company reduced its net loss 44%, from $4.5 million in the 1999 fourth quarter, before unusual items, to $2.5 million. EBITDA for the fourth quarter improved 77% to $1.0 million in the 2000 fourth quarter, compared to $4.4 million, before unusual items, in 1999.

In the company s mountain and Hawaiian resorts, fourth quarter revenues increased 10% to $25.6 million and net loss per diluted share improved 46% from $0.24, excluding unusual items, in the 1999 fourth quarter to $0.13 in 2000.

ResortQuest met First Call analysts expectations for the quarter, after exceeding analysts estimates for the past two quarters. (2/6/01)
